How to make a passport photo with Photoshop

Here are the steps to create a passport photo using Photoshop:

Open Photoshop and create a new document with a width of 2 inches and a height of 2 inches.

Go to "File" > "Open" and select the photo you want to use for the passport photo.

Use the "Crop" tool to crop the photo to a square shape. The photo should be centered with your face taking up 70-80% of the frame.

Resize the photo to fit within the 2-inch by 2-inch document by going to "Image" > "Image Size". Change the units to inches and make sure the width and height are set to 2 inches.

Adjust the brightness and contrast of the photo to make it look clear and sharp. Go to "Image" > "Adjustments" > "Brightness/Contrast" and make the necessary adjustments.

Use the "Lasso" tool to select your head and shoulders, then go to "Select" > "Inverse" and press "Delete" to remove the background.

Save the image as a JPEG or PNG file, making sure the resolution is 300 dpi or higher.

Your passport photo is now ready to be printed or submitted electronically for your passport application.
